Jay, I'm late to the party.
I went to Savannah with a good working stock SE-R brake system. Carbotech Bobcat fronts, stock rear pads, drove it to and from Savannah. Fuzion ZR1 tires. Never had an issue.
In Ohio, I had upgraded to NX fronts, P10 rears, Alti MC, SS lines, whatever "fancy" front dual-purpose pads that Greg V recommended (same as on his Classic) and stock rear pads. Dunlop Star Spec tires. Never had an issue.
I did zero pre-track inspections or changes of any sort.
Had a blast, drove as fast as my very limited skills allow.
Relax. Make sure you have good dual-purpose front pads and a properly working system.
