Thread: Track brakes thread

Strongly thinking about the Carbotech AX-6 pad. Someone said it a while back, but I think he is rather forgettable.

ULTs are rated for ambient to 900F. Similar to Hawk HP+, Porterfield R4S, etc.

I had a set of ULTs on my 1.6 Miata. They worked well, but the car was pretty slow and easy on brakes.

I have Utlimates on as my street setup. The same pads I had on in OH. There a great pad. I haven't had the chance to really put the heat to them, though. We all know OH wasn't very taxing on the brakes....lol.

I'll use these as my rain setup in GA, if need be. As Mcarp mentioned, they remind me of the HP + pads in terms of feel and friction. Like most pads in this category, they dust quite a bit and squeal on light braking.

Brembo blanks are around $100/pair. I usually run those with the AD22's. The part is too important to cheap out on, IMO.

Willwood's 11" floating rotors costs less . I keep forgetting how expensive stock equipment parts are

I read it 2x, just to make sure I was reading right. Not much of a difference, but 90<100.

along with the term "around" included in my statement. sheesh.
