DO NOT USE FULL FLEDGE TRACK PADS ON THE STREET! However, most auto-x/HPDE compounds will work just fine

I'm still a huge fan of the Carbotech line.... I run XP10/8

IMO Jay should be looking at the AX6.

Tried that once with shaved Azenis. Best ride of my life!

EBC Greenstuff? "Designed for premium street driving offering better brake effect up to 600°C (1100°F)" Similar heat ceiling as the Carbotech AX6 as suggested.

They also have Yellow stuff for the NX I think. DP4839R

My brother used greenstuff, but that was years ago and there are so much more offerings, it has relegated these to the outdated pile............

Indeed, the Greenstuff will get to that ceiling much faster than the AX6. I am trying to keep the stock B13 SE-R brakes and that leave me to order some AX6 pads of EBC greenstuff. Not a lot of other options out there.

Why are you still on stock SE-R brakes Kyle?? That's your problem right there!!

The stock calipers might share the same pads with other makes. Do a quick search, I do not remember off the top of my head.

Either way, with the AD22vF being so cheap, it's cheap insurance. Also, do not forget, size of both rotor and caliper will dictate how quickly both the break fluid and rotor get to their, how do you say, "not work" point. So even in that regards, the AD22vFs would be beneficial and save you money in that regard as you would not end up going through as many pads and rotors due to uncontrollable heat issues.

I just got the car and I kinda want it to remain completely stock. (B13, 84k miles, very clean)

I have NX brakes on the B14 with Brembo blanks, Hawk HPS pads, SS lines and the P10 has P11/B15 rotors EBC 3GD slotted and dimpled rotors with Hawk HPS pads also

I raced a B14 with NX brakes and instruct. NX brakes are fine size wise. Good performance pads are usually good enough your first time out, but soon as you learn more, you will want better pads. I used Porterfield, HAWK and Carbotech race pads. Hawk were the least favorite because they didn't modulate well. They seemed to be either on or off. Porterfield and Carbotech (XP12's in my case) were about the same, but the porterfield lasted longer.

Be safe, listen to your instructor.
