I'll do that this evening after the shop clears out a bit. I'm fairly certain it's the springs either popping around on, or in and out of the top hat or bottom seat. It's difficult to see what's going on though b/c my ride height is too low to see the springs well when the car is on the ground.

Remember the thrust washers are supposed to be metal and nylon. A lot of aftermarket thrust washers are all plastic and they SUCK!

What do you mean by thrust washer? Is that the mount bearing? My KYB's didn't come with anything except for the top nut(s), a screw driver, and a sticker. The mounts only came with three nuts (self locking) and the bearings.

What parts are necessary for a proper installation of KYB AGX struts? Strut, mount, bearing... anything else I might be missing? The mounts didn't come with any bolts or anything, so we used the three bolts from the cam plates that were on there before. Should we have used something else? A mount bracket, perhaps?

These guys.

I'm doing a suspension project right now and one of my struts had the plastic you see. They're garbage. The exact name is actually "thrust bearing." But they get gritty with dirt and will wear out and fail. You can clean and re-grease them (since they're ~$20 apiece for new oem) just don't tell anyone on the forum that you did

Now, I recognize the ring that's pretty much in the middle of the pic, but I think the one on top of it (and to the left), is actually part of the KYB mounts that I got. Am I mistaken?

It's a separate piece, I doubt they came with the bearing. I had to get that from Nissan.

Looks like I have more to buy then, huh? Geez. I suppose it simply wasn't needed with the cam plates that were on there, or they just didn't care.

So... just to make sure everything is straight, what pieces/part numbers are needed for a correct installation of KYB AGX struts? When listing, don't assume that I have anything (well, except for the struts, I guess).

Hopefully, I can get all of this worked out before IFO. It needs it badly.

You got an FSM right? Check that I don't have the part #s for ya.

Nope, I don't have an FSM, and I haven't been able to find a link to one online that actually works.

Try This

First result seems to have 94 to 09. But theres plenty more sources. I think nicoclub.com has them also. OR even just courtesynissan.com to pull diagrams with part numbers
