Steering Clunk and pulls left or right
So I took my car and had new tires installed like 2 weeks ago, well I didn't like the look of the guy doin the work, just got a bad vibe off him..

Anyhow first thing I noticed is my car doesn't feel the same (well new tires Duh!, or so I thought..) it used to pull slightly to the left (assuming need an alignment) but now it will pull either left or right depending on the direction I last turned. So if I make a right turn the car wants to pull to the right until I turn far enough left then it'll pull to the left.

Also it has started clunking when I turn at low speeds, like into my driveway or parking spot. The clunk has only been noticeable the last few days and def was not there before the tire install and she didnt pull like she does now before the tire install.

I jacked the car up an tested the wheel bearings an they are ok, I had the wife turn the steering wheel left an right (does not clunk when jacked up!) and i cant see anything out of the ordinary. The steering rack stays in place, the tie rods seem ok, double checked the ball joints an control arm bolts (replaced the lca bushings an ball joints a few months ago).

So not sure what to do or where to look, everything "Looks" fine and is tight, any suggestions?? think that guy fucked with my shit??

Dude I have the same issue right now. I hope someone answers this. I would get the alignment double checked and check.the bearing plate and topmounts

I know you checked, but it sounds like a LCA bushing...the big one.

Or loose axle nut will do that too.

i will give the axle nuts a check, i just replaced the LCA bushings with ES bushings so i would hope that wasn't an issue, i checked all the lca bolts an they were all tight, the tie rods "feel" fine and i have them a jerk and didnt feel anything on either side.

i pretty much checked everything i've touched which is everything lol and all seems well, but something clearly isnt.. i will check them axle nuts tho just because thats the only thing i haven't checked haha.

Sounds like what mine did when the little strut bearing in the top hat assembly went bad took me forever to figure it out.

How was the car jacked up? may be on a wrong point in a sense crushing it? Not sure, could be something else entirely just suggesting it sounds a lot like what was wrong with mine. Good luck. Let us know when you figure it out.

Here is a pic of while they were doing the tires

I didn't care for their lift much but a gave it a look and it appeared to be resting on the pinch welds just fine, but never know o guess

Does your steering wheel go off center as well left or right when this happens? Loose rack bushings maybe? Did you make sure your wheels were tight?
