Teflon Those Bushings!
I was browsing some good old MotoIQ and Mike's article about doing urathane bushings on a STI. He used a teflon trick to help reduce NHV.

One of our tricks to reduce static friction with urethane bushings and to make them long term squeak resistant is to wrap the inner sleeve of the bushing with a layer of teflon tape. The slippery teflon minimizes friction which improves ride comfort and mechanical grip. It also prevents squeaking. Whiteline bushings use a formulation of urethane that does not squeak as much as others but we still wanted to lower the friction.

We apply the moly grease supplied with the bushings over the tape.

After greasing the inside of the bushing, we carefully push our taped and greased sleeve into the bushing. This ensures a smooth ride and squeak free use even with the hard Motorsports bushing.

Would love to know how they prevent the tape from bunching up when sliding that metal insert into the bushing!

I wonder if the whiteline bushings have a little more clearance then ES ones. I will try this method ether way, anything in the name of more comfort :-P

Having a Subaru, I can tell you this:

Both ES and Whiteline bushings have better clearance, and don't require pressing to the extent that we experience with our 20 year old platform. Any bushings I have replaced with whiteline bushings slide right into the part with little/no effort. I can definitely see how putting teflon wrap would help.

Warm bushing, frozen metal?

won't help really, the ES bushings on our cars are just much tighter fit than the whiteline bushings. This will work if you can get them to slide through.

Just checked the front LCA bushings on the B15 arms, I think there is enough room for teflon.
