Stub Axle wear? b13

Is it possible for the stub axle to wear out on the B13 chassis?

Just did new bearings and hubs and still have minor play on the left side. Right side is perfect. Suspension shop says some minor play is "normal"

perhaps by stub axle I should rather say "knuckle" or something. The part that joins the hub to the strut to the steering rack to the LCA.

Anyways, found the problem. Incorrect hub supplied and fitted by the shop. Had a new one installed and problem seems to be solved.
