Anyone got a FSM for Front Control Arm Install with Tie Rods and all that great stuff
Planning on having to do my whole front suspension before the convention..Bought the whole kit off ebay that comes with
Left & Right Control Arms w/ Ball Joints
Left & Right Outer Tie Rods
Left and Right Inner Tie Rods
Left and Right Sway Bar Links
Should i tackle this stuff with handle tools and a pump jack or wait for a bit and find a lift and power tools?

It can all be done with hand tools no problem. Don't forget to schedule an alignment.

you only need about 3 sockets and a ratchet. i use a pair of dykes to pull out the old cotter pins and a pickle fork and hammer to knock the old ball joint out of the front knuckle since they usually are in there pretty tight. just jack up one side at a time and do it.

cool...what size are the control arm bracket bolts?....and yes ben..the issue is i have a bad ugly ass wear on my tires...but i cant get an alignment since my previous suspension shit is shitty....so i gotta change this stuff before i can mount my new tires in order to not kill my new tires with this shitty alignment...got it?

The control arm bracket bolts are 14mm or 17mm. Everything under there is 14mm or 17mm (except the axle nut obviously).

Pickle forks destroy grease boots, so I've got a tie-rod end removal tool to keep the outer tie-rod end boots happy. And I NEVER remove the ball joint unless I'm going to replace it. A hammer can be used to remove the lower ball joint if you have to, without ruining the boot. Since you're replacing everything, you could use a pickle fork for the removal. Not sure why I went on that rant. =/

alright cool, last time i went under there, i had to do my driver side spindle...and the whole unit popped off to the point where i had my control arm just hanging there....hopefully its just as easy....since im not doing it in a shop or what not i made sure i just bought the whole control arm as opposed to the bushing and dealing with that nonsense

like BenFenner said pickle forks can tear boots, i only suggested it because you are putting all new stuff on.

Spend a few bucks and buy some jackstands. Much safer.
