removing power steering HELp
hey guys im kinda looking to be put on the right direction on removing power steering pump to get some more output off my engine.

If you remove the pump you will loose your h2o pump

not so. you can run the alternator in the back where the power steering pump is. Or you can run a smaller belt. this isnt the best route but it works .

I was assuming he was keepin alternator and the a/c (if equipped) in the same spot.

There are power steering elimination kits with included idler pulley. That's one way to do it.

I was able to run just a belt as well. Its a bitch to get the belt on, but it works.

The way i did it was i slipped the belt onto the crank first then lined up the ribs on the belt onto the water pump pulley and managed to hulk it onto the round alignment nub on the water pump spinning part, then installed the screws one at a time

someone here used to sell kits comprised of honda parts to make a manual tensioner. thats what I did. it bolts in place of the pump to the stock brackets and one water pump bolt
