Axle Problem
Currently my friend is encountering problem with 1.6 to 2.0 engine conversion. He got an LSD tranny and LSD axles. But the Driver Side Axle didn’t fit the hub then we noticed that the outer cv joints is meant for a pcd 114 hub. Then we bring back the outer cv joints of the 1.6 but it doesn’t fit the axle of the 2.0 because of the spline.

We have this options that we can do:
1. Change the Driver side Hub to pcd114 but it looks bad since the passenger side is pcd 100 and not to mention the problem in mag wheels.
2. Use the Outer CV of 1.6 and have the axle machined shop/respline to make it fit but we are not that comfortable with the strength of the resplined axle.

Now the question:

Is there any Outer CV joints that the outer spline going to the hub is pcd 100 and the inside spline where the axle goes through is pcd 114??
From what car we can get this?

Thanks.

Bud,

Thanks for posting. The Car is B13. The axle came from JDM SR-20 it comes with an axle with a pcd 114 outer cv joints that can be snapped. The stock outer cv joints with pcd 100 that came from the stock 1.6 cant fit the axle.

JDM SR-20 Sentra? Or just another JDM SR-20 car? The SR-20 came in a lot of cars so you have a pretty long list to go through. If I was you I would go to rockauto or something and order SER axle(s). The are not the expensive and they will be rebuilt. Junkyard ones often are on there last leg and the amount of money you save is not worth it.

Yes you are right the sr20de came from another jdm car. i dont know the exactl model.

Actually thats what we are thingking.

Any other option/s aside from that? i want to keep the axle and the inner cv joints. Since we just have a problem in outer cv, im thingking all the possibilities of just getting the outer cv.

Is there any hope?

The P10 has different splines from the B13/B14. You need a set of axles from either the B13 or B14 and you are set.
