I'll update you guys once its done.

If it is an axle making the noise new boots and grease won't fix it. The bearings/joints inside would be gone and that's where the noise would be coming from. You'll be better off replacing the axle, I bought a brand new axle NOT a remaned axle from advance auto parts for something like 60 bucks.

From what I've read that's probably where I would start is with the axle.

UPDATE!!!

after long months of finding whats wrong with my brakes, I found the culprit. Hopefully, the last of it.

drum roll...

THE WHEEL HUB

Its wobbly when you spin it. What I did was i applied grease for my temporary solution. I'll change it when it make noise again.

might want to do it sooner than later or you will be looking for a whole new thing instead of just bearings

You don't need to replace your whole assembly, just replace the hub and bearing and you'll be good. You may or may not need the hub, I've seen it go both ways, if there is damage to the hub definitely replace it.

How does the hub wobble without the bearing being bad?

i really dont know, i have yet to change my wheel hub and wheel bearing. but for the meantime i put some grease into to the studs inside the wheel hub and the noise was gone. well, until the grease dry up and make noise again. By that time i already got my wheel hub and wheel bearing.

The bearing is definitely bad. The noise occurs when the brakes are applied because it causes the hub to shift when the pads apply pressure to the rotor. He just doesn't know yet if the hub also needs to be replaced.

Just because the noise is gone doesn't mean the car is safe to drive. I would get that wheel bearing replaced asap.
