B14 1.6L swaybar upgrade
This one is for the road racers running a lot of spring rate and RallyCross guys wanting a softer front swaybar for traction. The stock front swaybar off any 1.6L '95-'98 200SX or '95-'99 Sentra will fit a B13. The base B14 bar is slightly smaller and lighter than even the base B13 1.6L bar.
Per factory service manual specs:
B13 2.0L - 28mm solid
B13 1.6L - 28.6mm hollow
B14 1.6L - 25mm hollow
Top: B14 1.6L / middle: B13 SE-R / bottom: B13 Suspension Techniques
On my bathroom scale, the stock B13 SE-R front swaybar was 16.5 lbs, and the stock B14 Sentra 1.6L front swaybar was 6.5 lbs. Just for comparison, the battleship Suspension Techniques swaybar was actually only 16 lbs (minus bind-prone links). I have only run the stock B13 SE-R front bar so far. I'm setting up my car for RallyCross, so losing 10 lbs off the front of the car will be more than welcome. I'm looking forward to trying it out in at an event in a few weeks.
The stock front swaybar brackets are identical among all B13/B14, but the bushings vary. Both the Energy Suspension and stock 28mm swaybar bushings are too big for the 25mm B14 bar. You can get replacement rubber bushings through most part stores for about $10, and Whiteline W0407-26 appears to be a direct fit if you want a urethane bushing. I'm not sure if Energy Suspension makes a bushing specific to this application, but 9.5129 (generic 25mm/1-inch with bracket) may fit, too.
