EBC Brake Pads
Has anyone had trouble with the wrong part number for a set of EBC brake pads?

I ordered a set for my 94' se-r (original brake system) according to the part number on EBC's web site and they are too long to fit in the caliper brackets but do have the correct shape. The part number I have is DP2839.

How much longer are they then the original pad? I know at work i have that problem when we order alot of pads from car quest for gm pickups and pathfinders. I end up taking a wire wheel to where the pad slides and remove a little material, or if more needs to be taken off i grind them down a tad untill they fit properly.

e-mail ebc. Tell them what happened. Did you buy from a certified dealer?

That part number crosses to FMSI D549, which are the pads for the bigger NX2000 brakes. You'd need to get EBC DP2988 to fit your brakes.

I did send them an e-mail, haven't received a reply yet. I bought them through Amazon.com.

That is what I found looking through a bunch of part numbers and cross referencing last night. Thanks for the confirmation.
