Thread: Whiteline bar installed today

This was the company name on the shipping box that was sent. Years ago this where I got my Whiteline offset bushings.

Handling update. The bar is @ the stiffest setting. Some of the push is gone and it is approaching a neutral balance. My goal is to get it neutral with even throttle, and loose with throttle lift. My next move is to put the rear Tein CO's (280lb springs) on it and see what happens. Unforunately, the Tein's run out of threads before reaching stock ride height. I gonna have to fab up some mount spacers in an attempt to raise the ride height. It make take a while, bare with me. I'll post up my findings, as time allows.

Rear Teins are on (280lbs springs). They've been spaced up to give more ride height to match what the stock height was. I'm still about a 1/8" short, but I think I have a few more threads on the collar that can be used to make that up.

I took it for a fairly tame drive through the twisties and ride quality is pretty much the same has stock. I didn't get a chance to take it to the limit to test the balance. Maybe tomorrow.

As was stated previously, my goal is to have a nice riding B14 with off-throttle oversteer and on-throttle neutrality. In other words, I want a daily driver with the handling balance of race car. If it's still not there, my next move is to remove the front bar and/or 225's on the front.

No Tein pillowball upper mounts?

I met a man on G20.net that makes custom Upper mounts and he has some for the rear of a B14. I bought them and I run them in my 200SX right now. They are just like the old Motivational plates where they give you an inch back in height and travel. I highly recommend them. Ask him about any bushings or noise isolation rings also. I am very pleased with mine.

Tein makes a rear mount? Never seen it, if they do.

If so, that's the opposite as to what I'm looking for. Those are going to lower ride height.

Is there a front bar made for a different trim level B14 that is weaker than the front bar you have now? That's what we do on the B13s to get that last bit of rotation.

PillowBall Upper Mount LineUp

I use the mounts in the picture for the front, and also the rears that aren't pictured. They are solid mounts with spherical bearings and I feel much safer than running homemade spacers. The rears mount from underneath so you get about 1/2 an inch of ride height increase. I'll have to look for the pictures.

Good idea. Not sure. Maybe a base level B14 has a smaller bar? Next time I'm at the j-yard I'll have to measure one.
