Thread: Whiteline bar installed today

Get some paint on the fittings, I had mine on for about 4-5 months and they all corroded VERY quickly.

Ive removed my front ARB as I have coilovers fitted and its made the car strangely better to drive it feels really good through the corners, once I have fitted my polybushed controls arms I will decide if I will re fit it at all..

Huge truth. I was so torn on this but if I ordered one for a beam based car, I sure as hell would not connect it to only the beam. That makes little sense. All you are doing at that point is reinforcing the beam from flexing.

The Whiteline bar makes a connection between the body and the beam and actually makes sense! Once again Hank, I thank you for proving the worth of the Whiteline bar. Not many people buy them. More get ST or Progress bars.

I've got both of those right here man.I don't like the progress front & rear at all.

Nice post. What about a comparo between the progress rear for B13 vs the whiteline product? It's almost rear sway time for me and I'd like to know what to get.

What most of you guys should be asking yourself is "Why am I even thinking of installing a front sway bar?"

B13, B14, B15, P10, and P11 all understeer right from the factory. Putting a front bar on will harm how the car rotates and make it understeer more.

The whole point of a sway bar is to connec the suspension component to the chassis. If that doe snot happen, then the part is only being reinforced within itself. Whiteline is the only company I have seen that makes a sway bar for the rear of a B14 that is made what Hank and I know, is correct.

Progress, Suspension Techniques (which is also what freaking Nismo uses/used) only reinforce the rear beam. The Whiteline bar makes the connection from beam to the chassis.

Kleensleeper is one of the few people know with both. He votes for the whitlibe but im not sure why. The profress should be a stiffer bar 22mm 3way adj. Vs whitline 18mm 2way so max stiffness = 19 mm by their chart which is tge same as the st bar. Progress should range between a stiffness equiv of 21-23

The progress should not be stiffer just because the bar is larger. The progress attaches in a redundant fashion.

These bars are doing the same "thing" in a different way. One way is better than the other. (Whiteline, cough)

The white line swaybar has been the number one upgrade for my car (or close to after my set of coilovers ) I was blown away at how such a simple mod could completely transform my ride (4door N14 = B13 )
The increase of wheel rate on the inside tire was immediatly noticed , much flatter cornering and neutalised the understeer.
Worth every cent!!!

I m refering to the b13 bar. You are refering to the b14 bar? Jusy trying to clarify.
