Yes they will. He always runs volks which have outstanding caliper clearances. He also mentions the 17" tires are less suseptable to tire wear under race conditions. I admit i did not understand how/why and he never fully explained it. Ps i know for a fact from jim at fastbrakes bothe the duralite and superlite calipers fit under the ce28 volks and teamdynamics rims in 15".

looks...i prefer the look of the 12 spoke 17"
however, practicality wise..., i've found that cleaning a 5 spoke is SO MUCH easier/faster.

Thumbs up to the 17" for looks, has a BTCC attitude to it. Practicality and drivability considered the 15"s are the better choice. If there was a 3rd choice I'd do the look of the 17" multispokes in a 16". Only problem with 16"s is the lack of tire choices but one can get through that with a bit of research.

thanks. It's made by a local bodyshop. Nissan produces an OEM lip but the dealers don't want to supply parts for our old cars anymore.

Thanks bluesteel. The BTCC sentras and their rims were my inspiration for choosing those wheels initially.

As for the 15's. These are the OEM wheels that these cars came with. The reason I'm considering going to the 15's is partly to get almost a complete factory stock look from the outside. Bit of a sleeper if you will. 90% of thse cars around are running aftermarket wheels, and it's refreshing to see a stock oem looking car imo.

15's on 195/50/15 look so tiny. 205/50/15 will give nearly the same ground clearance as the 17's, but you loose any advantage of smaller wheels (gearing) at the same time. Which brings it all back to looks.

weight:
ps: Ok so the 15"s weigh in at 20.2lbs. And it seems most 205/50/15 tires weigh atound 20lbs as well. So 40-41lbs per wheel total.

Just removed a 17 from the car and with it's Yohohama 205/40/17 it weighs 40.48lbs. So there is almost no difference in weight. Where the weigh sits exactly may have some affect, and I'd imagine it sits closer to the centre of the hub on the 15.

I think the 17s look way better on the car, ever consider 16's might work out better other then the tires being a tad more money than 15's and 17's
