Damn good advice.
Full soft F/R and drive it for a week (at least) like that. They WILL bounce some...deal with it. It will help you better understand the eventual inputs you'll make, I promise.
Resist the urge to press the shiny candy-like button and start adjusting your ass off.
Full soft would probly satisfy most, depending on your set-up(swaybar/STB/tires, etc).

Mine are set a turn and a half stiffer in the rear than the front. I would keep the rear a little more damped if I were you. I would NOT set the rear to full hard-the ass end will skip like a stone if you hit bumps in mid-turn.
If you need to adjust: I could feel a difference w/ a 1/16th~ 1/8th of a turn, so I would make little adjustments, drive around for a day or so, etc.
One thing I've found about the springs to be true: "preload" (but not really...)them by turning them as tight as you can with one hand, then tighten the collars. Also, if you got the end links, they WILL come loose and rotate into your tire...make sure the bolt ends face in towards the car!!
Good luck with those. I like them pretty well, overall.

that info came directly from steve foltz. i was nearly the first person to own k-sports for the b13 chassis........i was the ONLY one to personaly talk with steve foltz over the phone about the specs, and measurements i took from them. we found the coilovers to be "......ok" i use that loosely btw. the droop travle was awfull. they had less suspension travle than stock, the springs were a good rate, but to short to work well.

i asked him how i should set them up to at least use what i had bought. he said just as above "start full soft and progress untill the bounce was gone"

he also said before you install them to raise the spring perch by hand untill any slip in the spring in gone. he told me i could pre load the springs to reduce the droop but it would kill any ride quality i had so i sacrificed suspension travle for minor comfort

Aren't the Ksport springs linear rate? Unless you put in so much preload that it causes the springs to coil bind under compression or to top out and lift a wheel under droop, that shouldn't affect the ride quality...

Best advice no matter who gave it.(BTW,15K miles on my Ksports and I love them.)

when the coilovers were deliverd to me..............the spring was just that, simply wound metal, i noticed no signs of it being a linear.

By linear rate, I mean the spring rate is the same from free length to coil bind. Easy way to tell if you're buying a linear rate springs is to check the spring rate. If they only list one rate (e.g.: 380lb-f/in), it's a linear rate spring. If they list multiple rates or a range (e.g.: 120 lb-f/in - 280 lb-f/in), it's a progressive rate spring.

I'm pretty sure the ksports come with linear rate springs all around. If the spring is properly designed and manufactured, increasing the preload by a small amount should not affect the ride quality.

Really? Just out of curiosity, how did you come to that conclusion?

Oh, ok. Haha. You caught me a little off guard there.

It's a minor point regardless. Doesn't change the fact that everything else you said was correct.
