who runs 17s on their b14ser?
I'd like to see some shots of peoples b14 ser's with 17s. Please include what suspension set up you are running as well as your tire size. Just put some 17s on my car and I think suspension is going to be next. I'm now running 17x7 speedy lite 7's with 205/40/17, stock suspension.

Let me look, i had the 17 tsw trackstar 5's on my car. I liked the size, with eibach springs lowered about 2 inches front and back. I just didnt like the black on black, or the red stripe. Give me a few mins ill look.

17" Katana Ducati's with 215/40/17 Kumhos in the pics....currently running the same size but Continental Extreme Contacts DW. Way better tire than the Kumho. Running D2 coilovers.

I had 17x7.5 Drag DR19's on my B14 when I started driving it. The were wrapped in 205/40/17 Nexen N5000's. I am running Tein HA coilovers. Personally I thought the tires were crap, they locked up easily in wet conditions. I then moved over to 15" te-37's. I love the performance with 15's; I dont think I'll be going back to 17's anytime soon.

I am running 17 x 7.5 rims with 215/40/17 tires, i have also used 215/45/17 Slicks and had no issue with the suspension. My setup is AGX struts and Road Magnet V2 Springs. using a tire bigger than 215/45/17 would be an issue and you would need to use spacers.

With the 215/40/17

With the 215/45/17 Slicks

I think running 17" wheels looks better on a B14, they get a more agresive look.

This is my car currently on stock suspension with the speedy lite 7 17x7 with 205/40/17. I know the car is ugly but hopefully a new shell will be in my near future.

I think the B-14s like 17" wheels. When I got my 200sx back in 1998, I knew that it needed 17" wheels, no question. Here are some pictures circa 2000. The wheels are 17 x 7.5 et40 with 215/40/17 Bridgesone Potenza SO-3 Pole Position tires. The suspension is KYB AGX shocks and struts with Ground Control coilovers. Probably about 1.5" lower than stock. It performed really well at track days with this setup!

Thanks for giving me a chance to show off my old car again. Funny thing, the car is long gone, but I still have the wheels. They are now on my 1999 SE-L. Some trends may change, but TE-37s will never go out of style.
