need some advice
Hey guys i needed some real quick advice.I'm in the process of buying some struts and springs.I was looking to buy the agx's with the road magnets, but the agx's are pretty pricey, so i wanted to know if you can run the road magnets with some gr2 without any problems, That way i can buy other things i need for my car like ball joints,a control arm,and maybe just maybe a set of tires.I mean i can always upgrade to agx's later right?I have about a $1000 to spend and i don't have a job right now because i go to school. If not i would have bought them without a problem.I just wanna take care of these things asap.

I would spend the money on the control arm and ball joints first.Take care of needed repairs, then get some decent tires,THEN see what you have left for extras.Adding new suspension to a car in need of repair is going to end up costing you more in the long run.Patience is a virtue.Build a solid platform, then add as the money becomes available.

Just fix all the stuff and get gr2 struts but leave your stock springs.

The GR2s are not up to the task of damping a properly strong spring like the RoadMagnets. The GR2 dampers will not damp the springs worth a damn, and they will overheat and fail quickly. Maybe 5k miles at the most? More likely 1k miles...

Okay, since you ask for advice, I'm gonna give it to you. Remove the term "cheap" used in conjunction with the term "performance" in your vocabulary. The two words don't go together. Like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. A "cheap" set of AGXs will probably put you right back where you are.

Fix the car so it's safe to drive, then save your money for quality stuff. As was mentioned, I'd go with GR2's with stock springs. Rockauto has replacement control arms with the ball joints already in. See Discount tire for some daily driver all-seasons and call it a day. Then when you get out of school and start making the bucks, dive into the performance game. Advice from an old guy...for what it's worth.

Now that they hypercoil springs are almost out, I'm thinking about getting new AGX's myself. A quick google turned this up:
KYB 733014 AGX Adjustable Strut, Passenger Side Front, 1991-1993 Nissan NX, 1991-1995 Sentra

If that place is legit it may be the cheapest around. Any feedback on it? I hope they don't sell rejects, that's all.
