Thread: Axle issues do to suspension anyone?

Probably is the wrong axle...do a side by side this time

I can actually be pretty funny and usually reasonably friendly (not much on laid back or chill) till someone calls me a dick for no reason. I might actually snarl at them.

This guy is wondering why a car with 3 inches of suspension travel from the factory with springs with 2 inches of drop leaving ONE whole inch of suspension travel sucks?

You cannot run anything with one inch of suspension travel and expect no problems. Axles bind. Please understand this.

You can lengthen the control arm to bring the axle up more if you want to go that low, but you need to adjust other parts of the suspension to make it work the way you want to.

Honestly, ksport coilovers for $750-$800 is a win.

Sean B that would be the 2nd thing that you would have agreed on ;-) It's done with it happened. Life moves on right. Easy, On to the next day. Highly doubt I'd ever go to Ohio, Louisiana or anywhere on that neck of the woods.

Anyways, I will throw on the front oem springs on this Monday. And hope for the best. Now, per say,the axles still say like that.

Honestly, that's what it seems like. Something in the tranny is not letting it sit flush almost like if the tranny was swapped from a different car or something(doubtful) Yea it clicks in but sticks out enough to let the tranny fluid seep out

Thanks for my entertainment this evening! I really am surprised that it didn't get locked up though.... My axles aren't broken but my car had been lowered WAY too much when I bought it and the struts are shot. I am just living like a broke ass until I buy a daily so I can gut my b14 and build it the way it should have been in the first place. I'm not down with hellaflush but I do like a lowered car but like the facts show, one inch of travel is just asking for trouble. Ben Fenner made a thread recently laying out all of the struts and how much travel they have and I found his graphics very helpful. You should check that out as well. I will post a link in a sec if I can find it because the search tool in the tapatalk app sucks! Op: Please don't let this thread turn you away from this forum or our beloved chassis. Thanx bro. I'll be checking the link you gave thouroughly as I did to the Main suspension thread. :-)

I'm not looking for the hella flush look though. I just love my cars dropped. JDM is my way to go 100% man. Hella flush style uses wide rims, stretched out tires, flared fenders. I'm not into all that. It does suck though that the sentra's can't be lowered at all. A 1" drop IMHO isn't a drop. 2"'s seemed decent enough and even then that's not spanked. Little by little seems like the B13 is sitting lower in the front finally. But the axle situation sucks. It is what it is you know. Can't wait to swap the car period. ;-)

Good to hear the positive side! I too need to work on my b13..beginning with the tranny!
