Thread: Axle issues do to suspension anyone?

I have never seen anyone's axle snap from the Eibach springs that are sold and they are around the same drop. I am not sure if the Megan springs are so weak that with the way too low drop they, could snap an axle. I have never tried them, never will. They are utter shit, cheap ass under performing junk. More than likely half ass copied from some other company that also has no clue as to build a performance spring. No matter how cheap I would not run them. I would rather cut a couple coils off of the stock springs as it would more than likely be safer than the Megan springs. I am not 100% sure that your axle snapping is due to the springs or a combination of a weak aftermarket axle or an axle already damaged finished off by the over lowering of the suspension.

My buddy that had a b13 cut his springs pretty low. Like civic low and he never had an issue. I don't even beat on the car. He had his done up and would race it daily. Burn outs daily as well. This was back in 02-03. I was going to install the oem front springs cause I still have them. But my sai and camber are perfect believe it or not. So that's why it's hard to believe, although they are not the best springs, they are the cause of the axle not fitting flush as suppose to and leaking axle grease. Axle seals are still good. But the axle is far enough to let leak the fluid out of the tranny.

Maybe it's just my luck and it is the wrong axle. AGAIN!!!

I'll figure it out soon. Or if anything leave it like that seeing I'm going to be looking into an ser p10/11 parts car soon to swap it all into my 4dr.

As for the struts/shocks prematurely failing, As for this, I was already advised about this by Hosmer prior to your unnecessary 2cents. which indeed I actually did read about it, but at the time(and still the same now) the money wasn't all there to buy $500.00 agx's and $330.00 hyperco or RM's(what ever the price is on them) and to be frank I'm pretty sure the springs, although shitty, are not the issue of the axle seeing that my camber and SAI are perfect(miraculously) SAI was 50.4/50 and the camber indictor was almost perfect. Toe is the only thing off. Toe is pointing like this "\ /"*
