Proper way to install stock sway bars?
Hey everyone. Does anybody have a good way to install the stock sway bars? I just changed the end links on my front sway bar and had to reinstall my rear sway bar after I replaced the rear struts on my car.

The thing is the end links have some noticeable lean to them when the car is fully seated on the ground. In the front the bottom of the links lean out towards the wheel. Imagine the links having negative camber. In the rear the problem is the rods lean back, imagine postive caster.

In the front I have brand new bushings and brand new links. In the rear its old bushings and links.

Initially I bolted everything up with the wheels off the ground. Recently I went back and had the car rest on ramps so that I could tighten everything with the full weight of the car resting on the suspension. Either way I cannot get the links to stay straight up.

Do you have the vehicle lowered too far? Stock endlinks? That can change a lot of the geometry. I know when I lowered the B14 too far the links would get wonky angles to them. You did the right thing by putting pre-load on them. You also have to sequentially tighten them too.

to avoid pre-loading the end links should be connected with the car on the ground. which can be hard due to space.

The car is lowered with hypercoil springs. So a 1" drop.

-what I meant

Hypercos wont screw it up that much...you get the wrong endlinks for the front maybe?
I wouldn't worry out it too much unless the bars are binding because of it. I have road magnets on the NX, I'll go look at em later and see if the endlinks are sitting strange.

The last time I had my hands on the sway bars was this summer. They fit fine w/ the Hyperco/AGX I swapped in there. They tilted a little bit iirc but its best to tighten them on the ground so that you can get the pre-load properly. I'm not sure but I'd think doing while the car is on the ramps is ok.

How does the car feel? If you have them over tightened or binding you can tell from just your sotp for te most part.
