there st bar's i have them so does pretty white and lnych. good bars makes the car stiff! and yes the frt mounts under the controll arm. you need 2 of the "plates" if your car is lowered other wise it will hit the control arms.

i'm talking bout the u bushings that's where the dual plates are needed. and at the control arms it goes from the top

it doesn't bind it just looks odd. they changed it on the later ones to the normal over the arm style

I dont like the ST front bar...you will see where it contacts the control arm it will wear off the paint.
I have bought 2 different cars over the years and removed the ST front bar because of it.When the bushings are new,it is real close,but as they wear ever so slightly it will start to rub.It makes it stiff up there,but I didnt like the way it felt cornering,too much understeer/lack of travel makes the car push and too bouncy for my taste..
In both cases,I replaced it with a stock one and it reduced understeer considerably.At least at slower speed cornering anyway(autocross,and some spirited backroads driving)
