Falken Azenis RT615K. Something to think about. I have them on the 94, road course worthy. Mine are 215/45/16 so I don't know if they have your size available but I'm happy with my set.

Proxes R1R are another good choice in the 225-45-16 size.

Why not just go with 17s and get better tire selections and widths 17x9 +25 will fit up front on an NX and 17x8 +20 in the rear.

205/50/15 TOYO R888 best I seeing , grip is crazy , I had use Potenza and Ventuz in my rally car for Tarmac events in NY and I find the R888 to be better in handling and grip this is my personal opinion.

The 16's are lightweight and what i wanted. It was either those or stick with my 15" Racing Hart Cybers but they are pretty heavy.

I would consider a 215/45/16 size. Its not that much smaller than the 225.

Any other suggestions?

16's. Not running 17's on a daily driver. Not into the whole low pro tires. They dont make for a good ride. Im sticking with the 16" Rays Gram Lights that I have.

IMO (225/45/16) Toyo Proxes R888's are going to suit you best if you're planning to stick with a 16" wheel. They also offer the R888 in 225/50/16. Very sticky tires; well considering they are R-Compounds and have a treadwear rating of 100. The only downside to these tires would be life.
If you're looking for something with better life with the compromise for a little less grip, Dunlop Z1 Star Spec's are your next best option. Dunlop makes them in 205/50/16, 205/55/16 and 225/50/16. The handling aspect of these tires have tons of positive feedback on numerous forums ranging throughout honda forums all the way to Lotus forums. As for straight line performance, I remember stumbling across a thread on the Pontiac GTO forums talking about drag racing on these tires. One of the members was pleased with the characteristics on how the Star Specs hooked off the line and had better traction in gears 1-3. I believe the tires he was running before (can't remember what tires, but I believe they were General or some brand like that and can't find thread. Sorry!) had zero traction in 1st, 2nd, and a bit of 3rd. Once he threw on the Star Spec's, he had zero wheelspin in 2nd gear.

Four (4) reasons off the top of my head and in no particular order.

1) Because they are too large and look cartoonish on the B13 vehicles. That is a "plus-3" size over stock. Nor will your suggestions fit with any kind of even moderate (1") drop.

2) The sidewall is so thin your ride will suffer considerably.

3) The tire and wheel packages are much more expensive.

4) The un-sprung weight will go way up, hurting your suspension performance. Not to mention your acceleration.

You are going to find very, very few forum members with a larger than 16" wheel/tire combo. The vast majority go to a 15" wheel/tire combo.
