Gonna have to get Star Specs, since Hankook's aren't available til May.I'm used to 225/45's,but Dunlop's are 205's They're gonna look like bicycle tires, dammit.

I had used the RE-11 before, they were quieter than RS3's,but didn't have the grip for autocross in my case.Partly due to the Hankook's being 225's,and the Re-11's had a harder compound. Everyone's experience will be a little different based on driving style, setup, etc. I get a new set every spring, just because tires are cheap enough, and I want enough grip to autocross when I'm not on my Hoosiers.

Why because it's a 2008 tire?

Some tests: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/chartDisplay.jsp?ttid=118

They where the best all around tires from all of the test data that I've seen. They are also cheaper then RE-11's. I'll see how they do daily driving, wont have time to autox till close to August again .

I was really wanting to get the RS-3's but P11 suspension doesn't have as much room as a B13/B14 setup, so it would probably rub against it. It could be fine in 45mm ratio, but I didn't want to find out either.

What rim are you using?

I was afraid someone would ask that.I got some TR Motorsports wheels from TireRack,15x8 with a +15 offset. They are meant for an e30 BMW I think.I wanted an 8" wheel that was cheap and fairly light;bingo! They stick out a little past hella flush, which looks a little stupid, but what do I care;it works. At a wholesale cost of $70 per wheel,it was a no brainer.

It works and that's what matters the most. I might do that for my auto-x only wheel setup.

I never really see the RS3's compared to anything when I did my research on RE 11's and, star specs and r1r's. I did just read a thread where were being compared to the nitto nto1's, which is quite impressive considering the nittos's are an R compound. The only thing that turns me off is I read their wet capabilites were average, where as the re 11's I have handle the rain really well.

RS3s aren't the greatest wet tire, I can vouch for that. Here in AZ not much rain and lots of sun make for ideal conditions for the Hankooks especially on the track. For a daily do the Star Specs with good grip for track duty or if money is no object the RE-11s are also a good choice.

Didnt want to start another thread so this one is getting bumped.

Couple of things. Looking for a great all around tire that will have plenty of grip for spirited driving both in corners and straight line, Good for road courses, autoX and so on.

Tires would be going on 16" gram lights. As far as sizes, i know a 225 wide tire fits perfectly fine up front with my suspension and so on. So for the fronts i was thinking a 225/45/16. What im wondering also is if that same tire size will fit in the back without issues. I know wheel offset and so on plays a part but overall taking that out of the equation what do you think.

If not a 225 then I was also looking at a 205/50/16 which is basicly the same diameter as the 225/45

Any suggestions on tires. Seems like they dont make a lot of tires in these sizes

I really like the reviews on the BFG G-Force T/A's, they look grippy and from what ive read last a decent amount of time.

Any other tire suggestions. Only downfall is the BFG's are quite expensive.
