Thread: Axle Mount Rear sway bar

Has any one ever tried this setup on their rear way bar?
It looks like it would be a better setup than the current one we normally use on the rear beam.




I will be trying this out with some heim joints and see what comes out of it.

Willing on hearing your thoughts.

I thought the endlinks had to be tied to the hubs/wheels to be effective? But what do I really know? Not very much, I tell you!

well the current setup connect the bar to the rear beam and the trailing arms, all which is moving so I think this setup would be more effective.

I think having the endlinks on the trailing arm is similar to the having on the hub in that the end of the bar is being moved based on the motion of the wheels. I'm not sure if body roll would be an effective proxy.

Whiteline makes the sway bar do just like this thread suggests...and they just re did their website go check it out.

I just checked it out and only see it for the b15 or b16 which I guess would fit on the P11.
I want to know if anyone has any experience with this setup and have any advice?

You gotta be JDM if you wanna find it for our B14 chassis!

See I like how the Whiteline connects the beam to the body. Not just reinforcing the beam itself.

Both work well, I just LIKE the idea of attaching the beam to the body with another point.

^Agree. That what I am hoping to achieve. i have the sway bar attached to the car already. so i will be able to see the difference if any. Just because the frame is not moving up and down with the beam I hope that it will work a bit better,

All us aussies use the whiteline parts because they're easier to get. Just make sure ALL the parts are included when you open up the box because i've had a couple where they were missing a bolt or two, or had low grade bolts which stripped out instantly and mis-matched nuts and bolts (wrong thread etc).

They work well, but you need to keep the bushings lubricated because like the front sway bar, once the bushings go dry, it will impact the ride quality as it adds to the resistance of the suspension to move over bumps.

I would kind of prefer the bar types you guys have sometimes so there isn't a "visible" sway bar hanging down under the back of the car.

Ye well I'm more a function over fashion. If it shows but works better then thats my way.
