You could do a GC/CSK setup for $900. That's where I'd be at... in fact next year maybe.

I got my Tein SS a couple years ago for 1169.00 shipped. The set of softer springs cost 160.00 new, although I'll probably be selling my soft springs once I get around to pulling them down from the attic.

I've seen B13 Teins used for 900.00 with 5-10,000 miles on them. Why buy used Progress instead of used Tein?

The progress is a different quality than Tein imo. I spent a lot of time talking about suspensions to a local builder for B/S chassis and he indicated the Tein are the same crap as D2/Ksport/Megan unless you spring for the HA or high end stuff. ymmv but I never really looked into them for that reason.

Interesting. Any idea what he based that comparison on? l actually had both Tein and progress in hand before I made my decision and was impressed with the quality of the Teins. I had also noticed a lot of BMW guys go with Tein.

I would say BC Racing,

I go with BC because of the quality, not a lot of people have tried them compared to bigger companies, but with how adjustable they are, and the camber adjustment especially!!!! Ide go with them, for track and street, they get super low, and arent to abusive in the car, but you can control that,

I have had hks and tein before, go with bc, they are honestly the most impressive coilovers I have seen in a while.

for a second i thought you were going to say all teins were crap, until i read what you said about HA's being high end
on a side note, this is a pretty good thread.

Sorry, but your local builder doesn't appear to really know about the TEIN product. They are not 'the same crap' as D2/Ksport/Megan.

HA is not high end in the TEIN range, there are at least 2 levels above them. Unfortunately not available for the B13 though, only B14, so i guess the HA's are highest level of that product for the B13, but still a different type of product to the 'cheap' stuff.

The BC's are quite popular over here. Lots of people running them for long periods with no problems and much better ride quality than other budget priced setups.

I don't know much about Teins like I said. I know people on this forum get all butt hurt when I call them crap. My local guy builds some of the best stuff out there ask anyone who rides Rich Pyaett's stuff.

Ok guys, for those who are wondering, I'm going to be Track prepping my car. Full Track Race Car in the NEAR Future, and drive it every once in awhile on the streets.

Mostly for Track days SCCA status.. Alot of Bad reviews on D2 and Ksports.. Those were the #1 choice i was going with..
