Manual steering setup on B13??!!!
I recently bought my first b13 and my rack is leaking BAD!
Wanna do the manual set up on my b13 but were do I buy the manual rack from?
I am planing to buy the manual pully set up in place of the power steering pump that G-SPEC has for sale.

Is there a write up on this anywere??

Uh....Greg V at G-Spec can get you any factory part available for your chassis. Including the best price on a manual rack.

I do not believe there is a write-up, I understand changing the rack is a PITA, and that you should have small hands in order to do so.

I have done a Manuel rack conversion ..you will need ..Manuel rack..u-joint..tie rods..and replace the black covers that prevents water from getting to the u-joint.
And you will need Manuel rack bushings..I got my rack from a junkyard..and the parts I got from a Nissan dealership ..

To replace the rack you will need to drop the transmission..just so it will be ten times easier ..now you have the four bolts that hold the rack ..then unscrew the bolts to the cover that protects the u-joint ..two bolts on the u joint ..its a very easy straight forward project..

And the last thing. Get a new belt ..I believe its 22inch belt to go around the water pump and crank pully..search on the forum for the correct size.

I just gutted a power steering pump. Not hard to gut the internals of the pumps. I'd suggest if you go with the gutted pump method to get yourself a cheap junkyard piece. It might be a decent amount of work to get the internals back in and working properly if you ever decide to go back to power steering.

Thanks for the write up. What car did you get the rack off of? And what parts did you buy from the dealer?
Thanks

I'm assuming that this process would be relatively the same on a b14. Am I correct?
