225/50/15 tyres on n15 - will it touch shocks?
i got a pair of 225/50/15 kumho v710 that i want to try at the drag strip this weekend. 30 treadwear.

they are not yet on rims so i dont wanna waste time and money money them and they dont work

anyone knows if they will clear the shocks? car is an15 and i am using full coilovers. i am using 6.5"x15" rims

i also plan to drive on the road (so cornering will be done) on my way to the track. i live pretty near

thanks

225's on a 6.5" rim, wow, that's a bit wide. I'd even think twice before putting them on a 7" wide rim.

The issue will be the offset of the rim, if its like 42, probably chances are not good, plus 225/50 is going to be oversize diameter wise so you might scrub the guard liners when turning. If the offset is 38 or lower, chances are better.

If the N15 is the same as the B13, then offset needs to be around +34ET in my opinion to have a chance of clearing the rear struts. The fronts too I'd imagine. You'll likely have some rubbing issues but nothing too bad.
How low are you?

I agree 225s on a 6.5" wheel is really pushing it, but with the 50 series sidewall it might mount.

I'm running 225/45/15 on a B13 right now BTW.

I had 225/50/15 mikey thompsons on my nx in the fronts with 15x7.5" wheels and never rubbed in anyway. Looked kinda huge though.
