Thread: overkill engineering motorsports

anybody running O.E.M. tubular control arms?
or whiteline control arm bushings?
or a subframe brace?
any feedback would be nice.

I'm running subframe braces on my B13 but they were made by Truaxmotorsports back in 2008. They are shaped like 2 small ladders that run down each side.
I haven't seen anything like them since but they are without a doubt the best modification I've ever done.

I all ready had front fender braces installed when I put these on but I felt the improvement right away.

I remember that thread.they were welded on right?
It would be nice if someone made something like that for us.I would buy a pair if they were bolt on.

I'm not sure they would be as effective if you tried to bolt them on, welding makes them an integral part of the body, probably part of the reason they work so well.
You'd have to weld on brackets to bolt them to, seems like extra work for decreased results.

If I ever total my SE-R I'll just cut them out and weld them in the next one, but I'm glad I have an extra set just in case. B13's flex like wet noodles.

so which would be the best investment for the money first?

Whiteline control arm bushings (with additional caster built in) are by far the best bang/buck out of those options.

I agree with BenFenner, they are a terrific bang for the buck.

Nobody currently makes a commercially available subframe brace for the B13 chassis. See the comments on Truaxmotorsports above.

any pictures of the subframe braces?

Not now, I need to get another cord to download pictures.

I know a lot of newer people have never seen the Truaxmotorsports sub frame braces so I'll try to post some pictures of my extra set when I get a cord.
