looks like prices went up from last year also. i got my r-s2's for $70/each and they were the same price as the azenis at the time, now the azenis and r-s2's are ~$95/each so i suppose the re-01's are such a bad idea after all.

Hell, I usually run harder R-comps in the summer on the streets(I have run RA-1s and Z211s). I never got issues for running them. Note that I do not daily drive my car, however. Downtown parking costs FTL.
The RE01R is not really an option around here. They tend to be too costly. They are great tires, but as for the cost-to-grip ratio, the cost sort of brings the deal down.
i run RA-1's on my daily. they seem pretty loud but theyre really grippy. the only thing is, i know everywhere i go i'm leaving rubber on the ground. i think the treadwear is like 40.
Azenis FTW. 215/45R16s, and have been on the street for almost a year. Damn good tire for the money. Awesome in the dry, great in the wet. Azenis RT615 are street legal. Have your Mr know-it-all brother google reviews on Tire Rack.

^ That was the kicker for all of this, he told me to go read reviews, and then I did, showed him, and he just said that they didn't know what they were talking about. He pulls this kind of **** constantly, he is one to never admit to being wrong.
Yeah, I'm just planning things out in my mind, in the next month or so I'll hopefully have my RMs and AGXs ordered and on, then I'm debating whether I'll get the new rims and rubber next, or if I'll get new SS brake lines and pads... which brings me to my next question...
What (if any) is the benefit of slotted rotors? Are new SS lines and pads decent enough for DD/AutoX?
