I should have had you build me a set when you offered. But then Fosters sold me his Koni/GC setup for $800 shipped That set was on the classifieds for about 15 minutes.
I might be in the minority, but 2G's to have a bad-ass Koni based suspension doesn't even make me blink. I'm on an old mans budget.
I would also be interested in what a Spec V Yellow front B13 set-up costs.
I have no idea what other Koni's will work in the back of a B13 as the B13 reds are no longer available.
I'd like to know if powder coating is available.
Is there a cost difference between building them for GC coilovers or for stock replacement springs?
What range of spring rates will work with the various Koni options? For a street ride, does the 8610-1436 still make sense, or is it even viable with lower rate springs? I know what Steve (98sr20ve) posted about the spring rates that work within the parameters of the more common Spec V Yellows and B13 Reds. I think Steve also posted info on the Maxima (?) Koni's....
Would veilside be willing to order up the GC collars and springs and send the units ready to bolt-on.
Basically, what we could or could not "order" from veilside to cover street, track or combo set-ups.
Eggman, Shawn B, Will, Boostlee, Greg Amy, and SER-ican have all been looking for CSK's or a Koni builder, or built them themselves. That is six folks that wanted CSK's.
Apparently only Greg and Boostlee actually got to veilside with an order or even so much as a discussion.
I'm working with Will on a set of CSK's for both of us simply because I did not remember that I could even approach veilside. Or I
certainly would have. I remembered veilside's expertise when Rob (SER-ican) approached me asking about someone who might build him a set.
And that is no slam to Will whatsoever. It merely speaks volumes about my respect for Veilsides reputation and expertise.
Seems like there is at least some amount of serious interest in CSK's on our low-budget SR20 forum.
It might not be as much business as from other more affluent forums, but if we are willing to pay what veilside needs in the way of pricing to make it worth his while (profitable), I do not see why he would not accept our business. Right now his
only competition on this forum is "do it yourself."
