The B15 yellows are not designed to handle that high of a spring rate though with their off the shelf valving. You can have them re-valved but at that point why not just go 8611.

My car was pretty fast around a track on B15 inserts and B15 rears with 350/300 and 450/400. It rode OK on the street as well but it was not near enough spring near the end when I was actually time trialing the car with NASA and pushing it hard on good race tires.

If I kept the car I would have gone GC advance design and somewhere in the 850 front 1000 rear range with the spec V rear beam.

A set of what? I have my Will-Built CSK's on my Classic with my Hypercoils.

Spec V Yellow fronts, B13 Red rears.

AWESOME ride. The comfort is downright amazing. All the performance, no downsides. I cannot imagine a better non-adjustable, direct replacement, DD performance suspension that is also track-worthy. The struts being adjustable, but nothing else to fiddle with, which is exactly how I wanted it. Bolt it on, set it, and forget it. Perfection.

^Dang Shawn, I love my B13 AGX/Hyperco combo, but just reading your post makes me want to take your car for a spin, or bolt your setup on my car to do a seat time comparison.

I had the B13 AGX/Hyperco combo for several years up until recently. It is indeed a very good street suspension that can handle itself quite nicely on a track (in a dual-purpose vehicle) for a weekend track warrior.

The CSK's are more "planted", less easily upset during mid-corner bumps, and at the same time the ride is far more comfortable. For the first several weeks with the CSK's it just made me grin and giggle when I would hit road imperfections with a muted thump and zero drama. I *think* it is every bit as comfortable as a properly working stock suspension, perhaps even more comfortable because you can hit bigger imperfections at speed and not bottom out like you would on a stock suspension.

The CSK/Hyperco suspension is the best of both worlds. You can have your proverbial cake and eat it too, and the upgrade was well worth the money to me.

YMMV.

Reese, you can borrow my car in Atlanta, no problems. Take it for a spin and go full-tilt, no brakes, over RR-tracks and the biggest potholes or nastiest washboard roads you can find.

Those are the types of spring-rates I was referring to. But with the bad-boy Koni 8611's that have the capabilities of properly damping the high spring rates.

From all the folks that went onto tracks, they have all needed insanely high spring rates to make the Sentra work well enough around a track.

I understand 99% of you are driving the Sentra on the street and want it comfy.

I'm at 500/600 and it's not enough. The black car will be 425/500 when I go to the 8610's on it.

This right here is the biggest difference. Since the Koni's are more focused on rebound you get that extra edge in motion control. Most OTS dampers for our cars are aggressive on compression, but not rebound. That can make the car skittish and harsh.

I went with the 8610-1436 RACE and 400/335 Swift Springs and will know soon how I like it. My car does more street duty than track duty. HOwever, the reason I went with the 8610 Race is that they were hardly anything more than the 8611 or the maxima/b15 units. I really think it will be a great all around setup and finally have everything in to install them as my custom tubes arrived yesterday.

I agree Shawn,
I am no racecar driver, but I can say that I totally agree.I have very limited track experience.I drive ALOT of miles though(100 a day minimum) .Mostly 65-70mph windy backroads.
But I went fron Hyperco/agx to hyperco/csk reds all 4 corners on my B13 a couple years ago.
I seriously fly over shit I would never try to go over at speed before. Road construction,etc...MUCH better.
Bumps mid corner is the biggest improvement .
My girlfriend at the time asked immediately what was different, and she had no clue I changed anything.(less boobs bouncing) good for her...bad for me.LOL
It would be exagerrating to say I go"looking for bumps"...but I was sorta doing that the first couple weeks after install..haha

Well, here's my impression of the 8610's( housings built by veilside) that i drove to the convention, that was paired with the b15 Koni yellows in the rear not inserts on my b14, along with tein plates in the front and Shigspeed pillowball mounts in the rear. All i can say is, Awsome. Highway driving to the convention was phenomenal( cant speak for the ride back home)LOL.

I went with the basic off the shelf setup GC sells for our B13/14, Veilside and I spoke many times before i pulled the trigger on this setup and I would never go for a spring based setup again. Guys, you have to try this with a coilover setup, paired with the appropriate spring rate according to your driving style. All you hyperco guys, a change might be in the making,LOL....
