H&r springs drop vs road magnet
Ok i currently have road magnet springs on my 93 sentra and while they are great handling springs i just cant stand the uneven drop it gives the car. I know its due to the fender heights and what not but i was just curious and i know everyone will flame me for this but would the h&r springs give the car a more even drop? Or should i just purchase ground control coil over sleeves? Thanks.

If you want to do it right, you need shortened struts (not the same as GC sleeves, but you may need the GC sleeves too).

If you don't care about bottoming out the struts, then just cut a coil off of the RM springs up front that you already have. That would be better than going with H&R springs even if the H&R springs did give you the height you're after, as the RM spring rate is higher.

I agree.H&R are just too soft.
Flame away, but I cut a coil off the front of my hypercos and its perfect for me...looks and Daily performance..
I DO have CSK though

RM gen 1 have a bigger drop and the higher spring rate. They put that extra .5" drop on the initial run against my will. This is almost exactly the height of the H&R spring. Which btw H&R spring is barely passable in my book.

This will kill your AGXs or GR-2s. The increased ride stiffness on RMg1 unfortunately you kinda have to run your AGX on 3/6 but they will blow eventually.

I think it only takes 2-3 decent potholes to do them in. Not even big enough to bend the cheap Rotas most people with H&R springs run.

If you just do drag strips and test n tune ideally you'd have H&R fronts and RMg1 rears imo. Just be ready to throw in new axles every few weekends.

well right now i have rm gen2 coupled with agx's and i daily it on shitty nyc roads..no problems with struts going on me..had it for about 9 months or so..but at this point i might just sell this set-up and get coilovers.

I went from H&R with bad GR2 to RM with AGX'S.The H&Rs drop looks great. It even rode good and I never bottom out.But I couldn't stand sometimes the jack not fitting under the car.The RM drop raised the car and the ride is stiffer but I'm still adjusting to the look of the car. Then again seeing a car ride height the same since 2000 might do that to you.

Unless you went only on a smooth ribbon of pavement and never turned hard or went into a gas station or anything... you bottomed out up front. There's less than a half inch of travel left on a B13 w/ H&R.
