Thread: anyway to even out the height on rm springs?

this is for a 93 sentra...now the road magnets are plenty stiff and they are paired up with agx's on my car..it handles great..and i know about the fender lines being lower in the rear but still is there anyway to somehow even out the drop ? when parked on a flat road i just hate the way the rear seems to sit lower than the front...

Get a pair of fenders and mod them to your quarters. the rear is not lower than the fronts.

There's nothing you can do about it with RM and AGXs while keeping everything copacetic. I went through the same thing after installing mine, as do many others. You can't lower the front any without risking bottoming out the front struts. The answer to getting rid of the gap up front is CSKs, or most types of aftermarket coilover systems.

If you don't care about performance (handling, ride quality, reliability, etc.) then you can cut the springs or do any manner of other janky solution you want to fix the problem.

Keo, look at the lines of the car and tell me the rear arch isn't lower than the front arch.
It is on 99% of vehicles and ours are no different.

if you cut the fender to fit on the quarter, it will look raised!!

Get the torch out and fix it.

put a spacer on the rear tophats, it will raise the car a little.

Also might help to put some bags of sand up front?

wasting sand, just gain 50lbs or so. plus the bag of sand would offset the center of gravity!! while gain 50lbs won't cause it will be towards the middle of the car!!

If your good at fabrication, i would think that you would be able to make front upper mounts. Not sure if the spring would clear into the tower tho.
This would raise the top mount of the shock up 1/4 - 3/8 inch (personal discretion). Just be sure you dont go too low as you can really screw up the suspension geometry.
This way you would not be shortening the travel of the shock, your just simply moving the entire assembly higher in the car.
