koni bumpstops with CSK
Will I benefit from cutting my Koni bumpstops shorter with a CSK/hyperco setup?
....or will it make the coils pile up on eachother before I hit the bumpstops if I cut them?

If you buy the 40mm Koni bumpstops, leave them alone. That goes for everyone. If you bought the 60mm Koni bumpstops, cut them shorter to make them 40mm long. That goes for everyone.

cool.mine are 55mm thats why I asked. They seemed long, and thats what came with the used setup I got.Looks like I will be taking them all apart to cut the bumpstops.
The prev owner says he never hit the bumpstops, even tracking the car with them at 55mm.

I just figured out that there is 15mm of rubber at the top of the Nissan dust boots. So by using 40mm bumpstops, you end up 55mm.
I am using different boots that are open at the top instead,so I am gonna keep them at 55mm.
These boots dont have that extra 15mm thickness.

FYI: You can cut bumpstops without taking everything apart. Just lift the boot up and pull the stop down and use a razor blade.

15mm of rubber sounds insane? Maybe more like 2 or 3mm?

I know,15mm is what it is though
I went out and cut one of the bumpstops and the part I cut off is as thick as the top part of the OEM rubber boot.
I will post a pic later

I had to replace a tophat,so at least one had to come apart, but I never thought of just pulling the boot back...lol
