Calling B13s that are LOW...

Im on progress coilovers, I have lowered the front now to where i want it since I have just put my b14s on. I have seen several other b13 this low if not even lower. But as my car sits right now, if the steering wheel is anythjing but straight, the axles or maybe bearings make a TON of noise.

What am I doing wrong? The pics you see is exactly how I want it to sit. I just cant drive it like that though.
I have not got it aligned yet. Its slow today at work maybe ill do it if I get a chance. But i really dont think an alignment will fix the problem. Since when I lowered it, I did an "eyeball" alignment. So its not too far off.

EDIT: Answer to all is post 2 on page 4. Thanks Russel.

Better have your flame suit on, the guys on this forum apparently hate slammed cars. Most of them are not much help and just tell you to raise it up. Our cars unfortunately were not designed for much lowering. Once the axle starts to angle upwards from lowering your car it starts stressing all the joints. There has to be a way around it though, I'm interested myself.

By the way , car looks sick..

Yeah theres not much you can do besides shortened struts etc our cars just dont have too much travel in the suspension for this. If you were too look at a civic or vw this wouldnt even be considered that low at all. They have alot more travel and way more forgiving setups.

I have a feeling. I asked a similar question like this a while ago and people were anything but helpful.

All in all the car really isnt that low, to me anyway.

I prefer the 2 finger gap personally but that does look good: Here is mine

Start with an alignment and then drive it, I installed my coilovers and then drove to get the car aligned right away.

I have replaced axles twice in the 4 years I have owned my current daily (pictured above) once when I bought the car as the boots were torn and once about 2 years ago.

Car has (and still does) original wheel bearings, ball joints, control arms and bushings etc.

What I am getting at is that just installing coilovers and slamming the car shouldn't make parts go bad immediately.

Here it comes,lol.

I believe lowering a car helps lower the CG which will result in better performance no?

For christ sake, Im not resting the fender on the rim lip with some super strected tires and crazy camber.

Lowering the center of gravity only helps because it reduces the roll center couple. Once you start lowering the center of gravity past the roll center you are losing performance again, not gaining. The weight can then act on a longer lever against the suspension and it acts the same as if you'd raised the car.

I agree you're not super low. Your instincts about the front wheel bearings or the front CV joints seem dead on. Those are the first two things I would check. CV joints first.
Also look for any interference with splash guards or similar.

if your running 10" long 46mm thick strut and slammed, i'd be okay with it.

Is there a way to correct the roll center on these cars? The only RCAs i have seen are for RWD cars. I would imagine it would be some kind of fancy ball joint?

EDIT: I should ahve searched before I posted But these look very interesting.
