I've noticed that after a lot of years of autocrossing,I've popped some of the welds in the unibody from so much flex.It will give you odd clunks and pops from time to time. The inner sheet metal in the trunk area seems to have suffered a bit.Could be that, these cars aren't getting any younger.

This was happenning in my B13 with AGX/RM.
Then I switched to CSK.Hyperco...same noises, and I swapped the whole assembly out/in so I didnt reuse the topmounts.
That chassis has over 250,000 so I could see that happening, but my NX has less than 85 on it and it was totally stock suspension until this weekend.I put my csk/hypercos on with the active tuning RSTB and a whiteline rear swaybar....same noises, and the NX was tight and quiet prior.

I am gonna take the rear sway bar off entirely to see if it is something there.
It seems ok going down the road or cruising, but when the suspension articulates(which we all know is not much) is when it seems to start banging.
I will see if I can get a vid clip soon.

B13 is made of pasta, isn't it?....fettucini A/B pillars, and the rest is lasagna noodles?

Update bump from the dead.
I removed my Whiteline Rear sway bar today to upgrade to Progress, and the clunking is gone.

The whiteline hardware and bushings are all in great shape. The only thing I can figure is that it was adjusted inproperly...like maybe it was sprung or something...who knows

Mine NX has been doing this since I revived it from the dead. I had it on a lift and nothing rattled, but when I have even the slightest flex it sounds like bolts in a coffee can.
