Extended Lugs???
I would like to know you guys Extended Lug FIRST hand experiences...

I've heard horror stories of splines not being tight enough and the lug spinning upon tightening with these aftermarket ones... I'm looking for something wide enough to bring my wheels out approx 12mm in the rear and 7 in the front.

ARP?
Ichiba?
Nismo?

Let me know what you got... Intersted in a good open end lug nut alternative too.

If it gets too expensive then I'm probably going to look for another wheel option.

^These are the lug nuts I will be running.

^These are the extended studs I will be running. APR FTW! I did a lot of research and read serveral threads on this and got some advice from a few members on it. Just try to stay away from the NISMO studs. I have read that they are not that great.

P.S. Ben has a lot of good enough on this.

I think FenBenner has a thorough thread regarding this, from reading it I went with ARP studs, I only wish I had gotten a longer nut to cover more of the threads. Goddamn salt.

This appears to also be a very viable hoe-e-em option.

Otherwise I will go ARP. I just haven't decided yet.

What lug nuts are you using Tokes?

Those look pretty damn nice.

I want to over-engineer the studs and lug nuts for my annual trip to the road course.

In my experience, Nismo is not an option. See here: http://www.sr20-forum.com/suspension/13333-arp-extended-studs.html
And here: http://forums2.freshalloy.com/showthread.php?t=177373
And post #8 here: http://www.sr20-forum.com/wanted/38022-wtb-extended-wheel-studs.html

In my experience, ARP wheels studs are the only I will ever buy again.
I didn't buy from here, but they have the best pricing: EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts

The quality is hugely superior to anything else I've worked with which makes torquing to spec and spinning those nuts on a breeze. The little nibs that stick out past the threads mean you will never cross thread a stud even if you let some monkeys with air impact wrenches have at your vehicle for a tire change.

For lug nuts I used (and am happy with) these open-ended lug nuts: Gorilla Automotive 30027 - Gorilla Lug Nuts - Overview - SummitRacing.com

They are a good option, but your needs might be different. There are other options out there.

If you want to make sure the lugs (wheel studs) you get will fit and not "spin" then here are the stock dimensions for the knurl and other stuff so you can compare: http://www.sr20-forum.com/suspension/10256-b13-wheel-stud-knurl-diameter-size-dimension.html

If for some reason ARP are too long, too baller, too expensive, or too awesome for you, I would consider H&R wheel studs if possible, or maybe the ones in this thread: http://www.sr20-forum.com/sentra-se-r/41756-extended-wheel-studs.html

In my experience Nismo studs are so bad they are a serious safety risk. I wouldn't knowingly drive a car with them installed for any distance.

Not sure... I like the ones that reese posted as those are the ones that I've seen my friend Tank rock back at the Chicago Convention.

Whatever I do I WILL NOT be getting aluminum lug nuts ever again... I'm lucky to be alive. My wheel popped off in the nx on 71 because they came loose even though torqued to spec, wheel wobbled, and sheared 3 studs off. The only thing that saved my car was the st sway bar and bolts.

A word of caution regarding the Gorilla nuts. While I love them, and they're very solid and reliable, the finish durability is pretty poor and they're likely to chip and show some cosmetic rust.
