They are nice for sure, but not absolutely necessary.

I tried to have a custom run made, but it's just too cost prohibitive to have less than 10k made. (which is just a "touch" unrealistic...lol)

I typically have spare sets of GC top hats laying around that I use when setting stuff up. Unfortunately due to all the imported copies, GC will no longer sell spare parts to consumers. (ie...standalone top hats)

I have a set of GC upper camber /caster plates...couple pieces are missing but are easily obtained from GC

Probably the best match for the unmodified AGX's for any kind of decent travel and minimal bottoming out would be the RMs for a daily. I race in NASA and my 91 has the AGX/RM combo that I road race. Holding up fine after 3 years of street & track use. I definitely would not use AGXs on a GC setup though unless they have Koni or Maxima inserts. And this is on a budget.

Is there a like button on this forum?? LOL

tein coilover srpings are stock diamater at top. tein basics do not come with camber plates

tein camber plates only replace the top portion of the stock pillowball mount and they do come with a special nut that fits the thread on stock or stock replacement struts. tein and a few others uses stock spring seat.

problem with tein and i assume some other bottom mount camber plates is that they have limited adjustment due to hitting the strut tower.

this is someone's take on addressing this issue you'll hopefully get what i'm talking about.

now i don't suggust buying these because they probably don't fit properly and fall apart after 5 miles

i remember reading either here or scc or motoiq about someone cutting out the strut towers to allow for more adjustment.

Basics for the B14 have a much smaller spring diameter than what you have pictured. As a result, full adjustment isn't an issue. Not sure what you have pictured there?

They look more like this:

I'm pretty sure CO's for B13 are the same design.

The article someone is mentioning is in SCC and they did cut a strut tower to gain more adjustability. It looked like mickey mouse ears haha. I have a few car mags beside my bed that is one of them.

Cause4alarm, those are not B chassis coilovers by any means

I would like to know how those fronts are going to bolt onto our knuckle?? (read, no mounting tabs) ??

I keep wondering if there is a way to flip the studs on my cusco plates and reverse them to mount on the top

not quite true, the wont fall apart after 5 miles, they do last...i would suggest buying them and they are a quality piece, also the reason for cutting the strut tower is so the piece can move freely and there is room for adjustabillity, have to do the same with the GC ones as well, that is why they come with a reinforcement plate that you put on the underside of the the strut tower.
