Thread: H&R spacer question

So i just upgraded my rims to some 15x9 +36 tr c3m with 225/45/15 hankook rs3. Now everything clears and no rubbing.

My previous setup was 16x8 +10 on a 205/45/16

I want to run a 10mm h&r spacer set with studs all around but im not sure if my stock studs with have enough lengh on them to put the h&r's over it and bolt up. Or would i need extended studs 1st then bolt up the h&r's?

You replace your stock studs with extended and then the spacer and wheel slip right over. If you go 5mm you can run stock wheel stud, but 10mm requires longer wheel studs. H&R includes them in the kit, at least mine had them included.

yeah 5mm ok on stock studs...10 will only give you like 3 full turns on the lug nut,not safe...

Yep the H&R kit comes with the studs.
Even the 5mm kits come with longer studs.

so i wanted to run a bolt on spacer with studs included on it 15mm in the back. See im getting confused, when you guys say 8 or 9mm is the most you can go on stock studs, does that mean thats the biggest spacer that is a slap on style and not bolt on correct? because if its a bolt on style, there should still be room to put the spacer over the stock studs and with the recessed holes on the actual spacer, it should still give you room to bolt the spacer on with the included locking nuts. Is this correct? Thanks guys

up to 5 mm on stock studs....they wont give enought threads to get on the lugnut...

i used 15mm BOLT on spacers here...and actually used a 5mm between the bolt one spacer and the rotor, which came out to 20mm

with your 15mm bolt on spacers above/\/\/\/\/\, did you use stock studs on the hub to bolt it on or did you have extented studs on the wheel hub?

stock studs....no extended studs...but i also used a 5mm between the 15 and rotor....so just buy a 20 mm and be all done.

i dont need a 20mm. Im running a 9" wide wheel with 225/45. I just wanna kick it out a lil more since i have rolled fenders in the rear

ok but with thebolt one stlye spacers,with what i used 5mm with 15 bolt on....the STOCK studs came out past the spacer and i had to trim them down maybe 1/4 inch....with a 15 mm might need to be trimed more depending on your rims...
