225's on 15" b14 wheels
Just wanted to get some of your opinion on 225 size tires mounted on b14 se-r wheels.

Seems like most have when with 205's and few have went with 225. I want to put 225's because I can use the extra grip. Being boosted tractions is always a plus. I have coilovers so rubbing will not be an issue.

I would think stock B14 SE-R rims would be too narrow for the 225's and would "pinch" them. Probably need at least a 7" rim and iirc the stock wheels are 6"

We put 225 drag radials on a pair of NX wheels we had laying around a few years back. They mounted on and worked well and IIRC, they are a 5.5'' rim. There was a local guy back home who has 235/60/15 MT's on his B14 wheels. The front end looks wild with such a large tire but thats as close as you can get to a full blown slick. Go for it!

I was thinking you were talking about 225/45-15 sized tires. The taller the tire, the less likely to pinch and not sit square on the ground.

Lou - I've got a set of Falken 912's in size 225/50-15. I had them mounted on 15x8 6UL's on my SE-R.

They have less than 1000 miles on them. I drove from Atlanta to Rodney's house near Nashville and back home for the convention. I wanted more sidewall to soften the ride and didn't want to run my track tires for the trip. If you recall, we trailered the rest of the way to Omaha and back. I traded with Wes at the convention and am now running Hankook rs-2's on the SE-R. If you are interested drop me a pm. I will make you a real good deal.

I have 225/50/15's on my stock b14 wheels. Clears everything just fine. Tires pinch a little

Don't know if I would recommend them. If you get soft sidewall tires that wide it will definitely be very loose in the steering/handling department because they will flex and roll. Now if you want to get a wider rim then sure you could go with a wider tire will less risk of sidewall deflection.

i have them on the front of my car, on the rear of the b13(I have NX) i dont think they will fit without 10mm spacers

I had these for a while. Falkens ziex had a lot of flex when going into the turn.
