I was taking the rear strut off of my b13 and both of the bolts that connect the strut to the hub were rusted to it. I even broke the head off of the bolt. I've tried air hammering the leftover bit from both sides and it doesn't move. I had the rear struts off this car a few years ago, and nothing else showed signs of rust. I guess I'm going to have to take the whole hub off and either press it out or drill it out.

It was in missouri (it just spells wrong) originally. The only serious rust on it is where the paint is missing from being nissan paint and it's surface rust.

I had the most epic b13 moment. I was lowering two b13 se-r's at the SAME TIME. I was doing a strut swap and that bolt broke. So I lowered my daily and left the other on the rack.

I have old school air/hydraulic post lifts, the controls are metal pipes with valves, they are away from the cars, I get all dr frankenstein like.

That's 5 pages of stuff to read vqman. What exactly do you need help with?

I tried taking the whole hub off and that long ass bolt is frozen too. I got it to spin but the bushing in the control arm spins with it. I still wasn't able to get the broken bolt out. I tried drilling it out and found out all of my drill bits are chipped or worn out, that's what I get for letting people borrow them. Really nice irwin set. Good thing it's my second car. I put it back together because there was money to be made, when things slow way down I'll give it another shot.

Do yourself a favor and brush some anti seize on the bolts and never have that problem again ! It can be your best freind ! I'm anal when I comes to bolts exposed to the elements . I spray all the bolts and nuts under my car with under coat or rust proof spraypaint to keep them from rusting .

rusted bolts are the worst.. especially in our older cars. one time it took me 4 hours to remove a strut bolt... biggest PITA ever!
