Coilovers, ride height, axle noise, frustrated.
I dont even know why im writing this since ill be trading my progress coilovers for some RM/agxs soon but its got me pretty frustrated.

Let me explain the situation...

I installed the COs, Slammed the shit out of it naturally at max low. Drove around and can was undriveable, axles made all kinds of noise ( at least I think it was the axles.) So raised the car up about 1 inch below oem ride height and car drove great.

I got alignment done, car drove even better.

After a few months I started getting tired of that ride height and was yearning for MOAR LOW!

So I spun the collars down 10 turns, which comes out to about a litttle more than 1" but still nowhere close to MAX low.

I go for a drive and car drives great.
Axles... making all kinds of noise.

Let me say this, I have replaced the axles about a year ago with remaned axles from Napa. Maybe this is the problem I dont know?

Or is it because I need to realign the front EVERY time i adjust ride height? (even if it is a minimal adjustment)

Sooo.... lets hear what yall have to say on this...

BTW: this is a b13 ser

You cannot slam a Nissan Sentra, period.

If you raised the collars and still had problems, something else is seriously wrong if you are getting axle noises.

Here is where im cruising now. Went back up 5 turns and still makes noise. If I go up another 5 turns it will be where i started and no noise. i hope.

READ THIS, then come back with questions. Dont say you did because we all know you did not.

Every time you change ride height you must get an alignment done, period. I can say this, it is not the coil overs fault, it is the user. You will understand when you read the above thread, which just happens to be at the top of the suspension sub forum page.

Good luck.

Or dump the coilovers and get a strut and spring combo.

If you want to play around with settings, get adjustable struts. (KYB AGX or yellow Koni struts)

But when it comes to coilovers, you cannot just adjust everything as you please and expect it to work.

I cannot even apologize if this is not what you want to hear, but shit, I just dunno how else to say it.

Damn, you guys are being some real assholes. Can't expect everyoneto know everything about these cars, what is obvious to you is probably not obvious to some.

/Rant

There is only one person being an asshole. Address him if you wish.

But, I do agree with you. I see it more and more, new guys getting there finger tips flamed because they do not know something and/or they are 17 years old with there first car being an SE-R. I wish my first car was an SE-R, I can only imagine how stoked I would be to find this place being a kid with an SE-R as my first "ride".

you sure it isnt a strut noise or a bused mount??? maybe sounds like a axle issue?
