I'm so sorry Chris. I tried to hold back as long as I could hoping you'd get something back for your troubles.

I thought it might be. Well, I have had offers of help from obewan about getting these situated so that I can use them, even if new housings are required, so at least some good could from it. Oh, and I know you held your tongue for a long time Ben. It was getting to the point where excuses were digging him in a deeper hole than his promises could get him out of. I appreciate the support.

That would explain it. Good to know.

Chris, sorry I implied you f'd up earlier in this thread. Clearly you're not the problem here.

Thanks for the retraction bro. Like I said from the get go, if I had the know how in the first place, I wouldn't pay anyone to do my work for me. Anyone who knows me knows I try to keep my nose clean & only cry wolf when I see one.

more contradictions... this is what he did talking to me the first time I dealt with him, poor communications that contracticted his website, his posts, logic & common sense...

that's what I dealt with 1.5 years ago when I first encountered them about CSK's.. Then on another encounter, he wanted me to send him my Octotat RSTB to see about making pillowball mounts that would fit, I bet he would have tried copying it and selling it.. oh wait, i mean, Reverse Engineering it...

Because he can't rip off anyone else, I'm very elated that everyone now sees what I was seeing with this guy the whole time he was on the forum...

But it still sucks for those who have been ripped off...

Yeah, during class I was thinking if I DID send them back to be repaired, I'd never see them again. I'll go about finding a solution locally via obewan, or just keep the fronts, and sell the inserts themselves which can be used by someone else to make their OWN front CSKs.

Thanks again to everyone. I'm upset they cost what they did, the hassle happened, and OEM never owned up/remedied the issue. On the plus side, Newcomers & veterans alike should learn from my encounter.

i'm still not 100% certain that the B15 Spec V inserts can or cannot be used on a B13 with sub 400 lb springs...

lol

but i'm 95% sure they can't be..

i think you have to revalve them through Koni.

These are B15 shocks not necessarly SER or Spec V shocks. The original B15 springs are not all that stiff, if I remember correctly something like 200 or less. It may still be too much shock for the rear of a B13. It is not just the spring rate, the car weight is involved also. They might be a bit harsh on the rear, but I feel that the rear AGX are also pretty harsh.

I am collecting parts to build a shock dyno so I should be able to figure out what is up with the various inserts once it is working. Working and being optimal are 2 different things. Koni told me they could revalve the B15 shock to match the original b13 rear Konis if I wanted that, it was about $100 + parts. They said they had 1 b13 rear in stock and would make more if I ordered only 100 shocks.

Damn, whoever mod that was, A-quick service. Please PM so I can thank you, unless you just take this as the thanks.

Back to your show, OEM is apparently now lame. Sorry to hear, but knew it was coming.

Group Buy!!! LoL...

but while we are at it, let's have them make the rear B13 externally adjustable...

Correct and glad you thought of that.

I'll go about finding a solution locally via obewan, or just keep the fronts, and sell the inserts themselves which can be used by someone else to make their OWN front CSKs.

I seriously hope that Obewan/VQ, anyone with expertise, can help you out as inexpensively as necessary to do it 100% correct. This current situation sucks for you, and for anyone else with product/money tied up with OverKlutzMotordorks.

If you decide to sell, I will pay you any street-price normal "new" (Tirerack?) price for the fronts and have someone (VQ...) make me the CSK fronts. You won't even have to look for a buyer, make an ad, or mess around in any way, instant cash via Pay Pal or Postal Money Order. Some scuffs from installing, uninstalling, and re-installing will not affect the "new" pricing, as long as they are functional and can be made into CSK's for the front on my dime.

That way you do not take any further hit if you decide to sell the inserts.

I can't think of much else to help. But that offer stands.

Shawn I think I can make the fronts, but I'm far from an expert!!

I need to finish my own fronts and be certain they are a reliable piece first... I haven't done much with them since that initial write up about a month ago..

That is all cool sir. But I just do not want to see Phor lose any more money.

I'll pay going street-price-new for his IF he decides to sell them. Even though the Koni inserts will take an aesthetic hit from the incorrect install, un-install, re-install correctly. As long as they are mechanically correct, and will work with Hyperco's in the front, the aesthetics don't matter to me.

Hell, I could wait till you figure it out on your units, which I know you will. Then when you have it down, you could do mine for a fee. Or perhaps another forum member with the knowledge to do a front set could work with me.

Just an offer.

I already told you the fee via PM a while back...

Hey I just got off the phone with Koni, the B13 Koni reds have half the rebound as the B15 koni yellows.

B13 red REAR insert:
min rebound: 500 newton meters @ 13" per second
max rebound: 1000 newton meters @ 13" per second
compression: 300 newton meters @ 13" per second

B15 yellow FRONT insert:
min rebound: 1050 newton meters @ 13" per second
max rebound 2100 newton meters @ 13" per second
compression: 450 newton meters @ 13" per second

he recommended that we try the B15 yellows in the rear at full soft and see if we like it before attempting a revalve job - which will cost approx $250 per strut.

So if you work with Obewan, I'm sure he can source you a new set of rear housings and make your spacer. He seems to be our new Steve Foltz
