True and all of this could have been avoided by purchasing coilovers....

It makes me glad I have my little agx/hypercoil/motivational rear shock mount setup. I only lost 1 inch of travel up front and actually gained a tiny bit of travel in the rear.

I hope you get it worked out, it is confusing to me. Good luck, lots of helpful people are chiming in for you.

I believe so, yes.

On my setup, I spaced the insert up +/-0.56" (not counting the nub of +/-0.31"). I see no reason why you can't do the same - honestly, I think that is what you should do if you can get the insert out of the housing.

My drawing has all of the dimensions for a stock B13 rear strut that you can use for a reference. Just playing around in ACAD, I took my B14 insert and placed it into a rear housing. Assuming the B14 is generally the same as a B15, there was a 1.7" gap from the bottom of the nub to the bottom of the housing. So I would say spacing would be around that.

Personally, I think I would expect a refund from OEM.

It's not my topic, sorry for hi-jacking it.

@ Fosters: Haven't installed them yet, but glad to hear the spacers are an option. Paid good money for both the Koni's and the Hypercoils, if I sold either of them, I'd lose quite some money.

Yeah, I am thinking I will do that and just save them. Maybe I will talk to Obewan since he is in my area, have him help me score a set of housings and make the rears CORRECTLY. I'll have a nice setup for the future.

And you used a lowering spring with that?

The struts that Fosters measured are not the only rears used on our cars. There is another version ( which is the only type that I personally have seed ) that continues down beyond the mounts and requires an even taller spacer. That type actually requires about a 1.5 inch spacer just to install the B13 Koni rears properly. You do not want a strut that is so short that the spring stacks solid before the bump rubber touches anything. You will either ruin the springs or break something on the car or both.

That is what I am thinking. I that using the inserts that I have already and adding spacers to some other stock b13 rears. The ones I was sent my OEM were hacked too short which sucks, 'cause they were not cheap.

I havent read through this thread much, but if you said OEM messed them up, shouldn't they redo them then?

That was one of my questions, sort of...

What is O.E.M. doing to address the situation?

Have you discussed this situation with Mark directly?
