aftermarket manual steering racks?
I am replacing my steering rack in my car b/c it is beat to hell. I will be getting rid of power steering. The E model steering racks are very hard to come by. Has anyone tried on from Advance other places. I can get a new one from Advance for $140?

Make sure you get the u-joint that goes on the steering rod.It is diffrent than the PS one. I bet the aftermerkrt wont come with it.

Food for thought, and as long as you are spending the money why not an on off electric power steering system? /'Toyota MR2 Power Steering System

There are racks from Honda ATVs that actually might work better too

Tomas try what pedro said and loop the line back into Itself . I have been running it like this for a few years no isues . It's alittle more effort to turn from a dead stop but not bad . As far as the Manual rack it has a larger gear ratio . So if your trying to turn lap times stick with the p/s rack beside I think you'll have to run a electric w/p with the manual rack Unless you get the p/s delete kit from custom steel
