Tein Rear Mounts Modified to Fit 2.5" Coilover Springs
This modification would be good for those that bought the rear Tein mounts and want to convert to GCs.
I heard about these for the JN15 & B14 so I bought them for my '96 Maxima only to find they would not work with my GCs and 2.5" coil over springs.
HT Performance made me some delrin adaptors made to hold the springs.
The Tein mounts were machined down to accept the delrin bushings with a near interference fit. This is to keep as much suspension travel as possible with these adaptors.
Nice tight fit with self lubricating delrin, the springs will not slip.
2.5" coilover springs now fit nicely.
I have yet to test this new setup as my Koni struts are out being revalved along with alot of other suspension stuff being re-done. I was using the stock rear mounts along with NISMO bushings and felt it was to soft. These mounts will also add a bit of suspension travel compared to the stock mounts. I will try to measure up everything when I put the car back together.
