Brake Question??
I was wondering if the nx rear brakes are the same as the b13 se-r. Im looking to buy nx2000 pads and i can get a set of front and rear for cheap so i was wondering if the pads were the same in the rear?

My 1993 FSM shows all the rear disc brakes as being the same on the B13s. The rotors are 234mm x 7mm (solid -- not vented). The fronts are 250mm x 18 mm for the SE-R and 257mm x 26mm for the NX2000.

The pads in the rear should be the same. Double check with your favorite on line parts source to see if they list the same part number for rear pads between the 2 applications.

Thanks for clearing that up.

You will enjoy the bite that the Ultimates give. It's a good performing street/autocross pad.

New rotors are cheap and definitely worth the money. It's best to do rotors and pads at the same time so that they bed in together.

My personal opinion is that SS lines are not really worth the $$ unless you will be putting your car in the track (any maybe not even then). Although they may improve brake feel (it's hard for me to tell the difference) and ultimately are stronger than factory lines, the SS lines often do not fit the brake line brackets on the struts, and they can deteriorate and get frayed. They are stiff and make it hard to rotate the caliper up to inspect the pads.

For a street car, I personally would get new OEM lines before SS.

x2

I've been using these with slotted rotors on my DD and weekend autoxer with 100% satisfaction.

I havent upgraded to ss lines, but the combo above has worked great for auto x and it was quite nice at the summit point jefferson circuit last summer.

Some say these pads dust too much. I havent personally dealt with excess dust, but thats subjective.... how much is too much?

I think you'll be happy w/ your setup.
