Looking for a lower oem type spring
Edit: Springs purchased from the Eggman...

This may seem crazy, but I'm lookin' to lower the ride height on the front of the SE-L by using some sort of inexpensive oem solution (read, pull it off a junkyard turd). They will be mounted on GR2's, so the spring rating needs to be close to stock. I do no want to cut anything, just compress, pop in and go. I thought I read somewhere the NX spring would provide a lower ride height than a b14 spring...true or false?

Has anyone tried using any other oem type spring, Nissan or otherwise to get rid of the "it looks like my car doesn't have a motor in it" fender gap in the front of their B14?

Just a little background, my Tein basics need a rebuild and the GR2's will be used until I get the coilovers back...hence the temporary "junkyard" solution. I may also use the GR2's for the winter months....last winter is still fresh in my mind...

Thoughts, experiences, recommendations?

lol, i'm in the same boat buddy.
the stock b14 springs are way too soft.
i can see the nx front springs workning, however, i think the rears will not.
Not sure of the firmness on the nx springs.
someone please chime in.
thx.

well if i read correctly, the rear nx's will fit on a b14 chasis -however, I don't think our car will sit any lower. The front spring rate is only slightly stiffer and the rears are identical. see the link below

I'm not really looking for firmer, I'm looking for a lower ride height...and just in the front...maybe an inch or so.

Do you mean using the rear NX spring in the front of the B14?...cause there's no way a rear NX spring will work on the rear of the B14.

you could try to use the springs off a 1.6 gxe or se.
i have them in my car paired w/ csk's and agx's.
after the springs settled, there is a 2-3 finger gap between the top of the tire and the fender.

Thanks for the offer but it fails the above criteria. I'm looking for a cheap solution, as well....like under $40 kinda cheap.
